Kofax Extends Leadership in Transaction Capture with the Release of Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0

Latest Version Accelerates Document Processing Abilities While Minimizing Costly Document Handling, Data Entry and Errors

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced a new release of Kofax Transformation Modules, which automate the classification, sorting and separation of paper and electronic forms and documents, and extract and validate the accuracy of the information they contain. Version 5.0 features new enterprise level processing capabilities and enhanced data validation and recognition in a single, unified platform that significantly increases speed, accuracy, and throughput for high-volume document processing. With these latest advancements, users of Kofax Transformation Modules are able to greatly accelerate the processing of documents and minimize costly document handling, data entry and errors.
“Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 enable organizations to manage their document processing requirements faster, more accurately and at significantly reduced costs,? said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax. “This latest release reinforces our strategic commitment to invest in and extend our industry leading, best-of-breed intelligent data capture solutions to meet the scalability, ease of deployment and rapid return on investment requirements of our enterprise customers.?
Enhanced Support for High-Volume Enterprise Deployments
Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 include support for enterprise class server hardware with adaptive multi-core processing capabilities. This significantly increases document throughput and reduces processing delays for high volume applications while keeping the hardware footprint small, thus improving efficiency while concurrently minimizing operational support costs. The release also offers automatic batch restructuring and single document routing capabilities, providing support for complex capture workflows that enable validated batches to be released to back-end processes or sent to designated operators. These features eliminate processing steps while increasing operator productivity and data security.
Leverages Distributed Workforces More Easily
Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 add browser-based character correction to online validation through new thin client keying modules, folder support and batch editing. Such functionality reduces costs and improves document processing efficiency and accuracy by allowing distributed workforces to perform data validation tasks from multiple remote locations using a pure HTML and JScript interface.
Increased ROI by Accelerating More Documents and Processes
The new release enables the extraction of cursive handwriting from unstructured documents such as letters, thereby expanding the scope of applications, such as digital mailrooms, for classifying and capturing incoming customer correspondence. In addition, Arabic language documents can now also be recognized, extending full data capture capabilities for invoices, letters and many other document types for Middle East customers.
